My mom is trying to get me to go to a college in Missouri and I live in Ohio. I don't want to go.?
What should I do? I don't want to go because i already have a college that i am going to be attending in may and i don't want to move away from my boyfriend. What should i tell her to let her know that i really don't want to go without being rude? Please Help!! I am also the one paying for it because i wanted to go to another college but it was way too much and i am not eligible for any financial aid. No Pell Grant. Nothing.

mom knows best get your good education ,worry about boyfriend later.if this guy cares about you he should go along with what you decide. by the way who is paying for it .hint -hint....
Answer 2 :
Go,,, it will be a great experience get you out of your comfort zone friends and such. You will be forced to come out> find new and lasting friends and to see a new side of life. I understand about the boy friend but this is your life and if you are meant to be together then it will be if not you will find happenings there also I'm sure of it. Your mom wants the best for you and I'm sure that she is thinking along these lines.. its a great adventure so go at it with all the gusto you can were counting on you

Be honest with your mother the way Lisa Simpson was with her father. Good luck! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOxOzTZN5oU

On the one hand, if you really don't want to go you should just say so. "Mom, I really want to go to X University. I just don't think Y University is right for me." If you're over 18, it's legally up to you, though I do understand the pressure that parents can still exert... usually the better at it they were the harder it is to tell them no thanks. On the other hand, if your boyfriend is the ONLY reason you don't want to go, you really should sit down and think realistically. Very few high school romances survive the first semester of college. At this point neither of you really understand how much higher education can and will change you, but it happens to most people. I have know SO many people that make a decision to go one place or another because they want to be with their boyfriend/girlfriend then find themselves transfering the next semester or school year because over the course of freshman year he/she joined that fraternity/sorority and went to that party where they met that guy/chick and well... things just didn't work out. But even if no cheating is involved you may still grow apart. Sometimes highschool relationships last forever. More often they barely survive highschool. Although I certainly wish you luck, I really think you ought to be objective enough to look at your situation and decide which college is the best for your career and your future, with or without the boyfriend.
