I took Spanish in eighth grade, but I don't want to have to take anymore. I want to go to college in Missouri. Do I have to take it in high school too? If I have a lot of fine arts credits will they care?

Answer 1 :
colleges are actually looking for 3 years now... :(
Answer 2 :
It will really limit the schools you can apply to if you don't have at least 2 years of foriegn language.
Answer 3 :
Most colleges want you to have at least two or three years of the same foreign language in high school and many high schools require you to study a foreign language for X amount of years in order to graduate anyway. If you don't take a foreign language in high school and you do get accepted into a college, you're probably going to have to take it in college because I bet part of their graduating requirements includes taking two or three semesters of the same foreign language. If you take it in high school you can test out of having to take any foreign language classes in college.
Answer 4 :
Your high school probably requires you to take a foreign language for at least one semester but most require even more. Yes, the college will care.
