Is Missouri getting the short end of the stick when it comes to college football rankings

Is Missouri getting the short end of the stick when it comes to college football rankings?
They're undefeated and from a major conference.

Answer 1 :
Definitely not in the BCS poll, and that's really the only one that matters. Even though Missouri is undefeated and in the Big 12, a lot of people view the Big 12 as down this season and don't know what to make of Missouri because they haven't played a particularly challenging team yet. It's hard to say whether or not they should be ranked #11 or #18 until we see what they do against Oklahoma and Nebraska. If they beat Oklahoma, they will end up right outside the top 5 and in the national title discussion. As of now, they haven't really proven themselves.
Answer 2 :
Name a top 25 team they beat? Exactly, it takes a bit more than just not loosing in BCS standings.
Answer 3 :
no boise state deserves to be 1 they got snubbed
Answer 4 :
Beat Oklahoma and you won't have to worry
Answer 5 :
I have been saying that from day 1, but then again I am biased with it since I love Mizzou. BCS gave us a good rank, a little high for now but I think after Sat's game we will see where they stand. If they win and beat Neb the following week, there is no reason why Missouri shouldn't be in the top 5.
Answer 6 :
Possibly, but then again with the BCS there are usually about 10 teams every year that have a legitimate argument or going to the National Title game ... Can you really tell me that a 1 Loss Alabama (coming from a tough SEC) shouldn't be considered as the best? Or can you really say that if LSU, Mizzouri, Michigan State, arent just as good as Boise State or TCU if they all go undefeated? If that was the case then Notre Dame could schedule 6 games against wishy washy teams .. 2 against a ranked team .. and then 4 against 1-double A schools and go undefeated every year though ... So you have to consider strength of schedule ... and on that case if Mizzouri runs the table they should get in over Boise or TCU ...
Answer 7 :
They actually played a tough Illinois team OOC, too. Not top 25, but a solid team none the less. I think they should be ranked higher than they are.
Answer 8 :
They haven't played anyone decent yet; I suspect this time next week people will be thinking they were overrated.
Answer 9 :
Missouri beat Illinois 23-13 on a neutral field(MU 20- ILL 0 in the 2nd half). Ohio State two weeks ago when they were #1 beat Illinois 24-13 >Either Ohio St ain't that good or MU is, you can't have it both ways Missouri pounded Texas A&M(30-9) at A&M. while the week before #11 Arkansas played A&M on a neutral field and need a last second interception in the endzone to hang on for a 24-17 win. Colorado beat then #22 Georgia...Missouri pounds Colorado 26-0 We will find out just how good Mizzou is over the next two weeks, but don't give me the. "they haven't done anything against anybody garbage"
