I Don't know,but Columbia Missouri is a wonderful town!
Answer 2 :
Columbia College has been around for years. It was formerly called Christian College, which will tell you a little about its leanings. It is a small college, maybe three-quarters of a mile from University of Missouri in Columbia. You can graduate from Columbia College with a usable degree. A good friend of mine went to law school after getting a degree at Columbia College and makes a good living as a lawyer. As for classes being "simple": Life is what you make it, and classes are what you make them. There's always extra credit, and there's nothing wrong with graduating from a small college with a 4.0 average

I want to be able to graduate in Kansas, but come and teach in Missouri. Who should I talk to and where should I go to find some information on the requirements?

Answer 1 :
my good friend applied to be a physical eduction teacher in (south county) Missouri at the school and after they did a back-round check he was hired the next day. sounds pretty easy. of course you have to show your college requirements.
Answer 2 :
I completed my B.S. at Kansas State University and I am in the process of getting my Colorado license, no extra course work required. My husband is in the military and we'll be moving a lot, so this is something I checked into. The only thing I did have to do was take the PRAXIS II exam in Colorado, it seems that all states require that you take that particular test in their state. Otherwise, Kansas does a pretty good job of having high standards for their teachers. I've been talking to some of my fellow new faculty members and they didn't have to do nearly the amount of work I had to do. The Education Dept. of your school should also have a list of all of the DOEs and their contact information. A counselor or advisor should be able to help you out if you have further questions.
Answer 3 :
Here is a website about what you need to know about out-of-state licensing for Missouri. I would get a teaching license in Kansas if it's required to have one in Missouri. http://www.dese.mo.gov/divteachqual/teachcert/forms.html#Out-of-State%20Applicants
Answer 4 :
A previous post gave you the website for DESE. Be sure to check that out. When I got my teaching certificate in MO 8 years ago, MO would except teaching certificates from any of the states that boarder it. However, while I was in college, the teaching laws, rules and regulations were changing like crazy, so who knows what they will require now. You can also try to track down a phone number for the MO Dept. of Education in Jeff City. Just before I graduated, I had to make a few phone calls and the folks in the office there were wonderful to me and they really knew their stuff.
Answer 5 :
You will have to find out what Missouri requires for a teaching certificate. The first address is for the department of education and the second is for the testing requirements. http://dese.mo.gov/divadm/humanres/index.html http://www.ets.org/portal/site/ets/menuitem.c988ba0e5dd572bada20bc47c3921509/?vgnextoid=3b4baf5e44df4010VgnVCM10000022f95190RCRD&vgnextchannel=d378197a484f4010VgnVCM10000022f95190RCRD

Is North Central Missouri College Fast Pitch Softball Camp a good camp to attend

Is North Central Missouri College Fast Pitch Softball Camp a good camp to attend?

Answer 1 :
Nope, they just go over pitching more than batting, and if you want to be a well rounded player, this is not the camp. This is more of a pitcher and fielding camp, and they don't go to batting until the final day you are there.

Is Southeast Missouri State University a good college? Also, is it safe, and is there a lot to do there

Is Southeast Missouri State University a good college? Also, is it safe, and is there a lot to do there?
I am either going to Southeast Missouri State University or Truman State. I will be majoring in English Literature, and minoring in German. I just don't know which one to decide on. Truman is small, and SEMO is bigger, but not huge. I'm just curious to see what people think of the colleges.

Answer 1 :
Check out unigo.com... it's a website that has reviews of colleges from kids that go there. The reviews are honest and helped me to make my final college decision. Good luck!
Answer 2 :
I'm the Regional Admissions Coordinator-Chicago for Truman State University and my greatest piece of advice for helping you figure out which school would be a better choice for you is to visit each school if you haven't already. While I cannot speak to what goes on at SEMO, at Truman State University you and your family will sit down and have all your questions answered with an Admissions Counselor, take a student led tour of campus which allows you to speak with a current student, and visit with professors or sit in on a class if you'd like. I recommend visiting any college campus that you are interested in to see how you are treated and to see what your gut reaction is to the school. Your gut reaction, whether it feels right, how you are treated, if you feel like a person instead of a number...these are all important factors when picking a college and can only be felt by visiting a campus. Also, please remember to contact each school so that they know you are interested and can send you the pertinent information related towards scholarships, applications, and your interests.
