Funding to finish a Missouri community college

Funding to finish a Missouri community college?
Recently, I received a refund from my school which I used to pay for my school supplies and books. Unfortunately, I have to pay it back. I tried returning my books and supplies but they couldn't purchase them all back for the full amount. Leaving me only with $98 in my pocket. I cannot receive a Pell until I do. Not only am I unemployed and still looking for work, but I don't have any money. I would really like to finish college but its almost NO hope of finding work here. I live in a big city, but the employment here is so bad that even fast food restaurants are often fully staffed... I do receive a "grant" for the G.I. which I was thinking of having advance paid to pay the remaining amount. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to pay back the $400? I am mainly looking for resources such as scholarships or things of that nature. Thank you!!!

What would be a smart laptop to buy for college use at a high level college

What would be a smart laptop to buy for college use at a high level college?
I am going to Missouri S&T for college this fall and need a nice laptop to use that has many features to go along with it.

Try anything currently on the market made by Lenovo. It has never let me down, and has everything you could ever need. Good luck at Mo S&T!

if you want quality and the most stable OS get a macbook. its well worth the price as far as the OS is concerned. But!!!!!!!! if you want to save money get a laptop with the specs you want and put Ubuntu 8.10 on it. Its a great FREE OS with loads of FREE software! that way you'll have some money after books, and parking, food, blah blah, and you can suffer less when having to pay of your loans.

If you're just gonna use it to write papers and surf the 'net and stuff, you really don't need anything too spectacular. Whatever the latest models are from the big manufacturers are, they should fit your needs.

I want to know any advice about the University of Missouri Columbia?
I plan on attending the University of Missouri Columbia for college for the fall of 2006 and I wanted to know any facts from someone who knows about the school and facts that are not listed on the site and that the recruiters don't discuss.

I grew up in Columbia. A lot of my friends went there. I attend Missouri State. I came here on scholarship. MU is great! Good academics, great parties!

is missouri the most overrated team in college football

is missouri the most overrated team in college football?
everyones says how good they are and how chase daniel is the best quarterback ever but THEY HAVENT PLAYED ANYONE

I think Missouri may be one of the most UNDERrated teams. Nebraska is one of the most overrated and I think we might find out this weekend.

yes they haven't played anybody. I think South Florida is not overrated because they beat 8 ranked Kentucky, Auburn(who beat former champion Florida Gators), and recently beat former 9 ranked West Virgina. That's a pretty good team in my book. I think that the point difference between LSU and USC is overrated. LSU has dominated every team they played. USC has only played one ranked team and judging by the score it wasn't a lashing (Former 14 Nebraska). LSU should have a little more points than USC because they beat former 9 ranked Virgina Tech, 11 ranked USC(gamecocks recently beat 8 ranked Kentucky) and if they beat Florida and Kentucky then they should start getting a lot more credit. I'm not saying LSU is the best in the nation. We definitely have some weaknesses, but as the #1 defense in the nation we aren't doing too bad.

No MIssouri is ranked about where they should be ranked at this point. I have never heard anyone say Chase is the best QB ever. Best in Big 12 I would say yes, although the kid from OU looks pretty good also. We will get a true view of if MU is ready to take the next step in the next 2 weeks. MU has the talent to play with anyone. They have two of the best wr/te in college football. If they would just line up under center when they get near the goaline, but Pinkel is to afraid to change his approach.
