Im going to Kansas City MO with a group of 8 students for a college newspaper convention at the Marriott Downtown Kansas City from Oct. 29-31. What can we do for fun when we're done with the day's convention stuff. (5 p.m.- ) Are all the bars 21-and-up? Only about half of us are 21.

Pretty much all of the traditional bars will be 21+. However there are a handful of restaurants/bars where they should be able to get in at. Check out some of the places on the Plaza (Tom Fooleries is a good time) as well as the Power & Light district. The Westport area also has some good nightlife as well. http://www.powerandlightdistrict.com/ Since you're there during the Halloween time frame, can I suggest checking out some of the Haunted Houses downtown? I've been to a handful of them and frankly, some of the ones in KC has scared the crap outta me. Check out The Beast or The Edge Of Hell. You'd likely have to wait in line, but it's totally worth it. yes about the bars, there are also haunted houses, and one of the best things to do is Worlds Of Fun. Roller Coasters, water rides, the works.

there are some great haunted houses and worlds of fun does a halloween thing too. you have to be 21 to drink in the bars but not to go in most will let you in but your drinking coke
